Ideal for those who like it dark and matt when they shoot, our NEW ULTRA BLACK is 20% deeper than our standard black background, which already gives you a good black background, and slightly warmer. Professionals will find this NEW ULTRA BLACK ideal for portraits, weddings, black and white photography and products.

"The difference is subtle but most noticeable when the light is coming from behind the set and reflecting off the paper, the sheen from the Ultra Black is considerably less than the normal black (which is already good). The Ultra Black is around half a stop darker than the standard in this situation.
This is most beneficial when the subject is positioned directly on the background paper. The light falling on the subject will also light the background and there is little scope for separating the subject and background exposure, any extra density in the background paper here is very welcome and could save a lot of post-production work.

Overall, the Ultra Black improves on the already very good standard black at a very modest price premium."
