Black / Ultra Black: What's the difference?

The image on the right was shot using our standard Black photographic backdrop paper which delivers a fine dark background ideal for most circumstances. If you require a black that's 20% deeper than our standard black background then try our Ultra Black background paper.

"The difference is subtle but most noticeable when the light is coming from behind the set and reflecting off the paper, the sheen from the Ultra Black is considerably less than the normal black (which is already good). The Ultra Black is around half a stop darker than the standard in this situation."
