As you well know, the society's aim is to promote the art and science of photography. Members are invited to take up the challenge of The Society's Distinctions. There are three levels: Licentiateship, Associateship, and Fellowship. Many Magnum photographers are members We attended their Annual Award ceremony recently at the Royal Society in London. Annie Liebovitz was awarded the Centenary Medal and Honorary Fellowship and joins the distinguished list of globally respected photographers including Sebastiao Salgado, Don McCullin and David Bailey. In attendance were many well-respected and recognisible photographers including Mike Maloney, Adam Hart-Davis and many more. It was a wonderful celebratory evening and congratulations to all the award winners.
